Our Mission
Youth Taking Flight is a dynamic youth-serving organization committed to delivering engaging and impactful STEM educational experiences for young people, with a special emphasis on Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour aged 12-24. Through a vibrant and relational approach, we inspire creativity, provide specialized skills training, and deliver transformative programs that foster positive growth and development in youth.

Founded in 2017, Youth Taking Flight has been at the forefront of providing exciting and hands-on learning opportunities in Aerospace and Aviation, Digital Literacy, Workplace Skills Development, Leadership, and Mentorship Training. We empower youth by involving them in every aspect of program planning and execution, ensuring their voices and ideas shape our initiatives.

YTF engages youth through interactive learning experiences and offers comprehensive wellness support, helping them build strong peer networks. We strive to connect youth with mentors in STEM, introduce them to new career pathways, and increase awareness of the remarkable achievements of innovators in Canada and globally.
